Spontaneous Playground Combustion

Amazing video of a playground spontaneously combusting!

Seems in our quest to replace everything natural with something synthetic, a special type of fake mulch is to blame. I've seen them for sale and been on playgrounds that use composite wood chips. They don't decompose, so replenishing them annually isn't an expense a city or school has to undertake. To me, the only issue is they get too hot.

Well, perhaps much too hot. Hot enough to spontaneously combust in places like Texas. They're probably find in places like Michigan and northern climes, just not in the south I would suppose. That is until we learn they're impregnated with lead and manufactured in China.
